Title 1 Information

The Purpose of Title 1 “…is to provide all children a significant opportunity to receive a fair, equitable, and high-quality education, and to close educational achievement gaps.” Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA), Title I, Part A, Section 1001

Title 1 is supplemental federal funds to help meet the educational needs of low-achieving students in high-poverty schools.  A school must have a FARM (Free and Reduced Meals) ranking of at least 40% to be Title I.
