It’s hard to believe we only have 4 days until Winter Break! Even with all the excitement of the Holiday Season our BCE Bears are busy reading, writing and solving math problems. The growth we’ve seen both academically and emotionally from the beginning of this school year has been a joy to witness. I am so proud of our BCE Bears and our entire staff. The dedication, perseverance, and resiliency that has been demonstrated by our BCE community has made a difference for our students.

Conflict Managers ~ We are excited to announce that our 4th and 5th grade Conflict Managers have been selected! After they go through the training program in January, Conflict Managers will be out at lunch recess with our primary students. They will be trained support them through a conflict resolution process. Our adult yard supervisors will continue to be there to support all students.
TK - 3 Music ~ I am happy to announce that after the first of the year, Mr. Gonzalez, our 4th and 5th grade Music Teacher, will be teaching music to our TK-3rd grade students on Mondays.

Triple P Positive Parenting ~ Please click the links to view workshop flyer for December. Enjoying Mealtimes is for Tuesday, December 14th on Zoom. All workshops are free to parents and are 1.5 hrs.
In addition, there continue to be 10 week 1:1 sessions either on Zoom or in person, and add-on sessions for parents who are divorcing or separating (Family Transitions). There are also modules for parents who want to work on their relationship and stay together (Enhanced), or work on managing anger and other strong emotions (Pathways).

Reminder ~ see the link below to sign your student up for weekly Covid screening and/or Covid testing in the case of positive close contact at school. Registration will give permission for both weekly and close contact testing, however if you would like to opt of weekly screening and opt in for close contact testing only, you can email our Health Clerk, Kat Gafford ([email protected]) and let her know your preference (Be sure to include your student’s name, grade and teacher.) Registration before exposure allows us to respond quickly to close contact exposures and support the health and safety of all our students.
Parents are able to opt out of weekly screenings, but opt into exposure testing only by emailing [email protected]. After you register, please send Ms. Gafford an email stating you would like to opt your student out of the weekly screening, but keep them in the exposure only screenings. Be sure to include your student’s name, grade and teacher.
