Dear BCE Families,

NO Early Out ~ Just a reminder that next Wednesday will NOT be an Early Out day.  We will have a regular full, day schedule on Wednesday, June 5th.

Last Day of School ~ Thursday will be the last student day for the 2018-’19 school year.  Students in grades 1-5 will be dismissed at 12:15pm.  Kindergartners will be dismissed at their regular time of 11:50am.  Please note that there will be no kindergarten bus, kindergarten students may ride the regular school buses that will depart from BCE at 12:20pm.

4TH-Grade Families ~ Please click here to read an important message regarding our Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) program for our 5th-grade students.

Our District IT Director has made us aware of a Chromebook (Acer, 11-inch screen, model C732) that he would recommend.  You can find it on Amazon for about $240

Library ~ The BCE library is closed for the school year.  Please return any library books your student still may have. Payment for lost or damaged books can be made in the office.  Thank you!

End of year ~ As the end of the year approaches, we can feel the summer energy increase.  Please help your student make the most of these last days of school by keeping to a routine as much as possible and reminding them how important their job as a student is.

Need Kindergarten? ~ Kindergarten registration for Fall 2019 is open.  Visit the BCE office to pick up a registration packet and sign up for a spot to attend one of our three Kindergarten orientations and tours.  Tours will take place at 9am on April 23rd and May 17th.  To begin the registration process, please plan on bringing your child’s Birth Certificate, Immunization Record and Proof of Residency.

Children must be five years old by September 1st in order to enroll in Kindergarten. If your student has a September, October or November birthday you might be interested in our Transitional Kindergarten (TK) program. For more information please call the BCE office at 831-338-6414.

This is a reminder that San Lorenzo Valley Unified School District policy, as set by the Board of Trustees, declares that we are a fragrant-neutral district. As we continue to have assemblies and other site-based activities and meetings, please take care to follow the policies below for the sake of the students and members of our community who are highly allergic to fragrances and scents.

The SLVUSD Board of Trustees adopted a California School Board Association policy to make all district classrooms and offices fragrant neutral. BCE has parents, students, and community members with respiratory issues who can have negative reactions to fragrances. Please take care to follow the policy while on campus.

Staff and students shall refrain from bringing furred or feathered animals, stuffed toys that may collect dust mites, scented candles, incense or air fresheners and from using perfume or cologne, scented hair spray, nail polish or nail polish remover that are not fragrance-free in classrooms or other enclosed areas or buildings.
