Dear BCE Families,

Thank You! ~ It was wonderful seeing so many of you at Open House last night.  The students have worked hard all year and I know how proud they were to show off their work.  Your ongoing support for your students is so important for their continued success.

Thank you 4th grade families, BCE Parent Club and friends for making the BBQ and Bake Sale such a success.

Thank you to our Masterpiece Art volunteers for making the Student Art Show such an amazing showcase for our talented students.

Thank you Carey Liston for the fun musical performances.  You can’t beat live entertainment especially when it’s our own BCE Bears!

Driving on to BCE Campus ~ Due to student safety concerns, starting Monday May 13th, only school busses, cars with handicap placards and staff members, will be allowed to drive onto the BCE campus from 8am until 8:35am

Read All About It! ~ Check out today’s Valley Press Banner. The cover story is all about our new mural on the side of Room 5.  You can find the article either online or in the traditional newspaper format.

Carnival Help ~ The BCE Carnival is coming up next week and, as always, promises to be lots of fun for everyone.  An event this amazing requires lots of support.  Please see the Parent Club section below to see how you can help support our school community.

Need Kindergarten? ~ Kindergarten registration for Fall 2019 is open.  Visit the BCE office to pick up a registration packet and sign up for a spot to attend one of our three Kindergarten orientations and tours.  Tours will take place at 9am on April 23rd and May 17th.  To begin the registration process, please plan on bringing your child’s Birth Certificate, Immunization Record and Proof of Residency.

Children must be five years old by September 1st in order to enroll in Kindergarten. If your student has a September, October or November birthday you might be interested in our Transitional Kindergarten (TK) program. For more information please call the BCE office at 831-338-6414.

The BCE Way:  BE RESPECTFUL, BE SAFE, BE RESPONSIBLE

WAIT, WAIT, DON’T STOP! PLEASE CONTINUE READING TO SEE IMPORTANT INFORMATION AND UPDATES FROM OUR AMAZING BCE PARENT CLUB!

This is a reminder that San Lorenzo Valley Unified School District policy, as set by the Board of Trustees, declares that we are a fragrant-neutral district. As we continue to have assemblies and other site-based activities and meetings, please take care to follow the policies below for the sake of the students and members of our community who are highly allergic to fragrances and scents.

The SLVUSD Board of Trustees adopted a California School Board Association policy to make all district classrooms and offices fragrant neutral. BCE has parents, students, and community members with respiratory issues who can have negative reactions to fragrances. Please take care to follow the policy while on campus.

Staff and students shall refrain from bringing furred or feathered animals, stuffed toys that may collect dust mites, scented candles, incense or air fresheners and from using perfume or cologne, scented hair spray, nail polish or nail polish remover that are not fragrance-free in classrooms or other enclosed areas or buildings.

Open House was a huge success! Thank you to all our volunteers and all who supported the fundraiser for their 5th grade science camp! Many hands made light work but it was a huge team effort. Thank you!

We are now just a week away from Carnival! We still need dozens of volunteers to make this a successful event. We especially need help with BBQ and Concessions.
