BearMail 5/17/19

Dear BCE Families,

Carnival ~ The BCE Carnival is TOMORROW! (5/18/19) Rain or Shine the BCE Carnival will go on.  Due to the predicted rain tomorrow, the jump houses and water slides won’t be available but there will still be plenty of games, activities and great food for everyone to enjoy!  Don’t forget about the amazing Silent Auction!  I hear there are Disneyland tickets and some pretty amazing classroom baskets that you can bid on.  I hope to see you there. Remember, all profits from the BCE Carnival and Silent auction go to support your students at BCE.

Driving on to BCE Campus ~ Due to student safety concerns, going forward only school buses, cars with handicap placards and staff members will be allowed to drive onto the BCE campus from 8 am until 8:35 am.

Need Kindergarten? ~ Kindergarten registration for Fall 2019 is open.  To begin the registration process, please plan on bringing your child’s Birth Certificate, Immunization Record and Proof of Residency.

Children must be five years old by September 1st in order to enroll in Kindergarten. If your student has a September, October or November birthday you might be interested in our Transitional Kindergarten (TK) program. For more information, please call the BCE office at 831-338-6413.

This is a reminder that San Lorenzo Valley Unified School District policy, as set by the Board of Trustees, declares that we are a fragrant-neutral district. As we continue to have assemblies and other site-based activities and meetings, please take care to follow the policies below for the sake of the students and members of our community who are highly allergic to fragrances and scents.

The SLVUSD Board of Trustees adopted a California School Board Association policy to make all district classrooms and offices fragrant neutral. BCE has parents, students, and community members with respiratory issues who can have negative reactions to fragrances. Please take care to follow the policy while on campus.

Staff and students shall refrain from bringing furred or feathered animals, stuffed toys that may collect dust mites, scented candles, incense or air fresheners and from using perfume or cologne, scented hair spray, nail polish or nail polish remover that are not fragrance-free in classrooms or other enclosed areas or buildings.

The carnival is tomorrow!!! Please plan on attending, rain or shine. We have relocated to the lower playground this year and have revamped games and the Green Prize Room. There will also be a petting zoo, a YMCA booth, an Arterie booth, a Beautycounter table, Matt the tennis guy and BC Parks & Rec will be there.

SILENT AUCTION: Will be in the MP room 11-3 during Carnival.
